Results from Interop Survey

Another long and exhausting day at Interop.  The Riverbed booth continued to be swamped with IT folks interested in finding out more about WAN optimization and application acceleration. 

We asked folks that watched our demo to fill out a brief survey, which ranks on a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being highest) the importance of application performance for their branch offices, data centers, or mobile workers.  After approximately 500 completed surveys, the scores were:

First day at Interop

After last year's slower than expected Interop show, my expectations were low for this year's showing in Las Vegas, especially with a slowing economy putting the crimp on travel budgets.

The first day has proven me wrong! Riverbed's 30' x 30' booth was packed throughout the day with IT folks interested in learning more about Riverbed and Wide-area Data Services.  The latest lead count for the first day is more than double what we had during the whole 3-day show last year!

Welcome to the Think Fast blog

From our experiences interacting with the community at the WDS Forum, we know there are lively ongoing conversations about wide-area data services, acceleration, consolidation, and related topics.  We're adding one more source of information here as we initiate Think Fast, our Riverbed corporate blog. Our goal is to be concise, accurate, and helpful -- we want to extend our focus on customer success to this additional vehicle.

We love learning what really matters to you. We also really value our opportunities to explain the ideas and motivations behind our products, and their place in the larger IT universe.  We hope this blog enables more of these great interactions, and we're looking forward to them.
