Contest kicks off Tues, May 10th at 10am PT and concludes Thurs, May 12th at 2pm PT
Requirements
Entrants must follow @Riverbed in Twitter and tweet their guesses using the supplied template, including the hashtag #speedthecloud. Limit of one entry per twitter account. This contest is open to United States residents only.
Selecting the Winner
At 2pm on May 12th Riverbed will perform the file copy live on in the Riverbed booth at Interop '11 in Las Vegas. It will be performed once without Riverbed optimization, and then a second time with Riverbed optimization enabled. The actual times will be compared to the guesses.
The winning entry will be the one with the lowest combined difference (over or under). For example, if one guess is 5.2 seconds over, and the other is 2.9 seconds under, then the combined difference is 8.1 seconds. The entry with the lowest combined difference wins the $500 Apple gift card. In case of tie, the entry with the earlier time stamp, as provided by Twitter, will be the winner.
