The Top Ten Blogs of 2011: #9 -- Stingray Acquisition and Introduction
On July 19, Riverbed announced our acquisition of both Zeus Technology and Aptimize Technology. We made the announcement in a special blog post that afternoon, but then we stayed quiet on the topic for awhile.
On October 25, we announced our new Stingray Traffic Manager v8.0 in a video blog presented by Apurva Dave, our Marketing VP for Stingray Products, and then on October 26, we posted an article that discussed many of the features of the new release, and in the days and weeks that have followed there has been a tremendous amount of information posted on our blog about Stingray Traffic Manager, including a multi-part series (that we'll continue in 2012) that introduces specific features in brief videos:
- Part 1: Introduction
- Part 2: Performance Monitoring
- Part 3: Global Load Balancing
- Part 4: Global View
- Part 5: Flexible Deployment
- Part 6: Ultimate Control
- Part 7: High Availability
And as part of the integration into Riverbed, we brought over the old Zeus blog and gave it its own area on our blog site. We also took the other Zeus social media articles, and incorporated them into our Community site.
