Bob Gilbert
I am an Evangelist for Riverbed. With over 16 years of marketing and product management experience, I am responsible for supporting the Riverbed user ecosystem with community programs such as the Riverbed-sponsored online user forum at community.riverbed.com and the Riverbed regional user groups (RVUG). I travel the globe speaking to the masses about the WAN Optimization market. My time outside of work is spent with my lovely wife, and 3 daughters.
Robert Healey
I have over a decade of senior management experience in marketing, product management and business development. I have diverse regional experience because I have been a resident of Japan and Hong Kong while working in a variety of technical roles for carriers and telecommunications / IT equipment vendors such as Telstra, Ascend, Lucent and Juniper.
Joshua Tseng
I have been at Riverbed since March 2004 and am currently the Director of Technical Marketing. I have more than 13 years experience in information technology, first as an engineer for Hewlett-Packard’s internal network infrastructure, and then as a vendor in various product management and technology-oriented roles . I meet regularly with Riverbed’s customers to understand their needs and address their technical concerns. Much of my focus is on the competitive positioning of Riverbed’s products and technology.
Nik Rouda
I am Riverbed’s Senior Product Marketing Manager for the Steelhead appliances. I have over 12 years marketing and technical sales industry experience with market leading enterprise storage and security vendors including NetApp, VERITAS Software, and Symantec. I have pioneered the introduction of new data protection, security and server availability technology in North and South America, Europe, and Asia Pacific. I have opened customer education centers and have driven customer satisfaction in technical support for global companies. I have helped hundreds of commercial and public sector customers around the world. I have a B.S. in Geophysics and Mathematics from Brown University and have a MBA from Cambridge’s Judge Business School with a thesis on engaging customers in marketing coproduction.
Joe Ghory
I am a Product Marketing Manager on Steelhead Appliances and Steelhead Mobile at Riverbed. My previous professional experience includes roles at VISION Sports and Entertainment Partners, where I directed the firm's marketing campaigns, and at multiple start-ups, I focused on competitive analysis and strategic marketing. I joined Riverbed from Updata Partners, a growth stage venture capital firm in New York City, where I led the firms sourcing, diligence in the enterprise technology space. I received an M.A. in Economics from the University of Cambridge (UK) and a B.A. in International Business and Politics from the University of California Berkeley.
Rick Holden
I am the Director of Technical Marketing for Riverbed. I have almost 20 years of experience with networking companies including Aruba Networks, Fast Forward Networks/Inktomi and AT&T. Outside of work, I enjoy anything outdoors – mountain biking, hiking/backpacking, snowboarding, and fly fishing.
Apurva Dave'
I am the Director of Product Marketing for Riverbed Technology. As part of the pioneering team in the Wide-area data services category, I work closely with enterprise customers to improve the performance and efficiency of their applications over the WAN. Previously, I served as Director of Product Marketing for Fast Forward Networks and Inktomi. My areas of technology expertise include Wide-area Data Services, WAN optimization, application acceleration, content delivery, caching and streaming media. Through all of my accomplishments, I am most well-known as the Interop dance-off champion.
Mark Lewis
Since graduating in Electronics Engineering I have gained over 17 years industry experience across a variety of roles covering engineering, sales and marketing. At Riverbed, I’m responsible for development and execution of marketing programs to drive business growth across Europe Middle East and Africa. I also support global account teams in identifying and closing deals into Global top 2000.
Dr. Mark Day
I came to Riverbed from Cisco Systems, where I was technical lead for content networking product management. I was previously Senior Scientist at SightPath, which was acquired by Cisco in 2000. Earlier, I was a Research Scientist and assistant to the CTO at Lotus/IBM, where my work contributed to the creation of Lotus Sametime (now called Lotus Instant Messaging and Web Conferencing). I have also chaired Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) working groups on Instant Messaging and Presence Protocol (IMPP) and Content Internetworking (CDI). .
Steve Smoot
I joined Riverbed in February 2003 and have served as the Vice President of Technical Operations since May 2004, focusing on support, service, and design. My doctorate in Computer Science is from Berkeley, and I'm interested in optimization, networking and digital video. For fun, I read voraciously and scheme about world domination through chocolate and very high-powered speakers.
Steve McCanne
I am a Riverbed co-founder and have served as our Chief Technology Officer since September 2002. I have also been a member of our board of directors since May 2002. Prior to founding our company, I served as Chief Technology Officer, Media Division and later as Chief Technology Officer for Inktomi Corporation from October 2000 to March 2002.
Damien Murphy
Australia: I have over 17 years of industry experience. I’ve done the hard yards and am pretty well-known in the Irish Marketplace - finally building the mates-N-colleagues network since a migration to (sunny!) Australiain in mid 2002. As the second employee on the Riverbed Australia team, I have spent most of my time helping grow the region from the ground up. Lots of work, lots of fun, and lots of success!!
Paul O’Farrell
As Vice President of Corporate Development and Strategy at Riverbed, I am responsible for developing and driving the company’s corporate growth strategy, through investments and new ventures. Immediately prior to joining Riverbed, O’Farrell was a general manager at NetApp, where he ran the company’s Technical Applications business unit.
